Pop-A-Shot Loan Approved by Peoria Council

The Peoria City Council last night took a step to bring a new company to town.

Council members approved a $250-thousand dollar loan from its revolving fund for Pop-A-Shot. If bank loans are approved, Pop-A-Shot will move from its current location in Kansas City.

City economic development director Cesar Suarez says the company will move both its office and manufacturing facility to the 900 block of Southwest Adams Street.

"This particular business, Pop-A-Shot, will create initially 10 to 12 jobs and then over a two-year period up to about 20 with the average wage being around 50-thousand a year," said Suarez.

Pop-A-Shot makes the Dual Shot basketball hoop game and related arcade games.
