A weekend snowmobile crash has claimed the life of a Utica man. 58 year-old Brian M. Kelly died at a Peoria hospital Sunday.
He was found around 6:45 p.m. Saturday behind the former Utica Elevator. Kelly was initially treated at a Peru hospital before being airlifted to Peoria’s OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Kelly suffered severe chest and head trauma, although it is unclear what caused the snowmobile accident.
Toxicology results are pending, but Harwood says a formal autopsy won’t be conducted.
