Peoria authorities are investigating a fatal shooting last night. Peoria police were called to the 800 block of Northeast Monroe just before 9:30 p.m. on the report of a subject down. Officers located an adult female with life-threatening injuries in the rear of a residence.
The unnamed victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Peoria Police department is investigating the homicide.
