Authorities say the Peoria woman killed Sunday night suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the victim as 46-year-old Tina Harrison-Diaz. The Peoria woman was found in the rear of a residence in the 800 block of Northeast Monroe around 9:30 p.m.

Peoria police were originally called to the area on the report of a person down. Harrison-Diaz was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, where she died just before 10:15 p.m.

Harwood declined to release additional details Monday regarding Harrison-Diaz’s death.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call the Peoria Police Department at 309-673-4521 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 309-673-9000.
