A man shot on Peoria’s south side in January has died. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 73-year-old David Babcock died early Thursday at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Babcock and 22-year-old Kamry Harris were found January 10 in an alley behind 2004 W. Malone Street. Harris died that day in the front passenger seat of a car parked inside a garage. Harris’s death was this year’s first recorded homicide.
The coroner’s office says Babcock died from complications of his injuries. The Peoria Police Department is investigating Babcock’s death as a homicide.
