UnityPoint Health says a computer breach might have exposed the personal information of more than a million patients.
UnityPoint Health officials say hackers broke into the company's email system and could have obtained medical information. The breach affects about one-point-four million current and former patients.
Privacy officer RaeAnn Isaacson says UnityPoint isn't aware of any misuse of patient information related to the incident. But, the company says the hackers also might have obtained some patients' financial information.
UnityPoint hired outside experts and contacted the FBI after the problem was discovered May 31.
