Midwest Food Bank Gives Assistance to Harvey Victims

The Midwest Food Bank is providing a variety of ways for West Central Illinois residents to help support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Donations made to Midwest Food Bank are being used in buying partnerships to maximize purchasing power. The money is also being used to buy food for Disaster Relief boxes and to cover the cost of transporting them. Donations can be dropped off to Midwest Food Bank on North Industrial Road in Peoria or on the agency's web and facebook pages.

Midwest Food Bank is also collecting a large variety of items at its Industrial Road location. The list of items that might be helpful in the areas of hygiene kits, cleaning supplies and food are listed on the organization’s website.
