Peoria Police Seek Help in Identifying Suspect

Peoria Police are asking for help in locating the man suspected of a shooting early Sunday morning. Delrick Rutherford is suspected in a shooting that happened in the 2100 block of North Underhill about 2:45 a.m.

The victim, a woman, sustained serious but not life threatening injuries. During the course of the investigation police determined 42-year-old Rutherford as a primary suspect. He’s wanted for attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery, child endangerment and a parole violation. 

Rutherford is black, approximately 6'0 tall and 165 lbs. He may be driving a black 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup truck. A photo of Rutherford is attached. He is considered Armed and Dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on the whereabouts is asked to contact the Peoria Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
