It was six months ago when Robert Bee of Pekin went missing. Family and friends marked the occasion with an evening vigil at Pekin’s Riverfront Park.
The child reportedly stayed at a friend’s house prior to his disappearance. But older sister Stephanie Clauser says details of what happened to the 13-year-old after that are still sketchy.
She says they are still working to know, “What really happened? What went on in the house? Did he really go home? Did they take him somewhere? Did he really run? Did he leave with a friend? Did he jump on a train car? There’s just so much out there. You have to look at every angle.
A group called Bonzai’s Bunch continues to search locally and in adjacent states. They take their name from Robert Bee’s middle name.
Robert’s mother moved to southern Illinois shortly after her son’s disappearance and was not at the vigil.
Pekin police report no new leads in the case.
