The Peoria Police Department has arrested two new suspects linked to the weekend shooting that resulted in the death of 14-year-old Tommie Forest.
Police arrested 20-year-old Samuel T. Gray Junior and 18-year-old Demerious D. Clark last night on charges of murder and home invasion. Police say both suspects are residents of the City of Peoria.
The first of the three suspects, 21-year-old Alex F. Collins, is being held on $2 million bond.
The arrests are made as police piece together information about Saturday’s shooting that left three other Peoria High students with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter Alert near the 24-hundred blocks of North Flora and North Ellis early Saturday morning.
Forest lived on Sterling and was pronounced dead in the backyard of 2405 Flora.
All four boys are listed as students at Peoria High School. Forest was a freshman and was on the Football Team.
The incident marks the 14th homicide case this year.
