Peoria Disposal company and the City of Peoria are teaming up to rid city neighborhoods of unwanted tires.
The Tireless Project provides free drop off sites for tires that need to be disposed of or were dumped illegally.
Collections will be held 9-2 every fourth Saturday at 2301 South Darst Street. A $200 littering fine is in place for tires left outside of collection hours.
Up to twenty standard passenger tires will be accepted from Peorians with proof of residency. The project runs through September 26th.
