Rob Parks’s name was withdrawn as Governor Rauner’s appointment to serve on the State Board of Education.
Anyone serving on the state board cannot also serve on a public or private school board in Illinois. Parks says she chose to keep her seat on Quest Charter Academy’s School Board.
Parks was the President of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce until 2013, when she left to go work for UnityPoint Health Methodist-Proctor.
