The former leader of a Peoria gang has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison on drug-related charges. Allen Fitzpatrick of the Zone 4 street gang pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine and heroin. He was sentenced Thursday to 15 years and eight months in jail.
Fitzpatrick told the judge about his difficult childhood, fears of being poor and how he fell into the wrong crowd after trying to fit in with older kids.
Fitzpatrick also is accused in the 2006 death of Robbin Underwood and the shooting of her niece, Jennifer Lindler. The 35-year-old and two others are charged with three counts of first-degree murder and several other crimes.
It's unclear who's representing Fitzpatrick in the pending murder case.
