Record third quarter for Peoria Greater Mass Transit

More people are taking public transportation than ever. Nationally ridership is at an all time high surpassing the record numbers of 1974.

Greater Peoria Mass Transit is not only seeing the increase, they’ve also experienced a record quarter. October had the highest number of rides in a single month, and the third quarter had more than nine hundred thousand rides.

That’s an increase of nearly five percent year to year. Both nationally and locally mass transit credits new services and better access to services for the increase in transit use.  Peoria also added a popular Sunday route in June.
