Report: BU president tops salary scale

Bradley University President Joanne Glasser is cited as the highest-paid president compared to other peer institutions. The Chronicle of Higher Education report is based on 2012 data.

Glasser’s total compensation was $618,436. That was $128,169 more than the next highest paid university president of similar institutions.

Glassers’ base pay increased more than $47,444.

The Chronicle report says Glasser’s compensation is equal to 22 students’ tuition and fees.

The report points out Glasser is also not the highest paid Bradley employee. That’s Men’s Basketball Coach Geno Ford who made $720,765.

The Chronicle of Higher Education report comes as Glasser is facing increasing criticism, a decline in student enrollment and a reported decline in campus employee morale.
