Peoria School District 150 is facing an 11 Million dollar deficit this year. Superintendent Grenita Lathan says the district is also now factoring in additional revenue loss.
That’s in the face of Governor Elect Rauner’s promise to let the temporary income tax increase expire.
“Now we are thinking about an additional maybe four or five million dollars and so we are just making those plans and preparing that it’s going away and not coming back.”
Lathan delivered those remarks after her State of the Schools speech at the Pere Marquette before a room of about 200 people.
