The Peoria County’s Animal Protection Services is encouraging area residents to consider adopting a dog.
October is National Adopt-a-Dog month. P-CAPS receives more than 2,500 dogs and puppies every year. Volunteers are available to help make the transition to a new home easier for potential donors.
The $100 adoption fee includes spay and neutering of the pet, a microchip, and a free month of pet health insurance. Dogs that are already spayed or neutered are $25. More information is available on our website, peoriapublicradio.org.
