Peoria County Animal Protection Services is waiving the adoption fee for cats and kittens for the next 30 days. To promote more cat adoptions during Adopt-a-cat month.
This is the time of year when litters of kittens arrive daily and the shelter struggles to find homes for all of them.
The cats are available through PAWS, and have already had their initial vaccinations, been spayed or neutered, and have a microchip.
Interested pet owners must fill out and comply with adoption requirements.
You can visit the shelter Monday through Saturday from noon to five, or interact with the cats this Saturday.
The Shoppes at Grand Prairie will be hosting “Pets on the Prairie” from Ten am to two pm.
The waived adoption fee for cats also applies to the daily adoptions at PetCo on Lake Avenue.
