A few libraries within the 18th congressional district are receiving money through the “Big Read” grant program.
Congressman Aaron Schock announced Galesburg and Quincy are both getting nine-thousand dollars from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Pekin Public Library is receiving 31-hundred.
The “Big Read” program introduces the public to great works of literature and encourages people to read for pleasure.
