The Peoria Riverfront Museum has announced a new curator for its Planetarium. The museum says Renae Kerrigan will replace retired Curator and Education Director, Sheldon Schafer.
Schafer will participate at a ribbon cutting Saturday for the re-designed ‘Community Solar System’ program. Kerrigan graduated from Bradley university majoring in Museum Education. Schafer taught astronomy with more than 500-thousand school children over nearly 40 years at the Lakeview and Riverfront museums.
