Peoria Police say they’ve arrested a key player involved in a rash of home invasions. Chief Steve Settingsgaard says 43-year-old Perry Rosetto was arrested after fleeing from officers Monday. Settingsgaard says the Peoria resident dropped multiple duffle bags with stolen items from several home invasions. He says a tip from Crime Stoppers led to the arrest:
“No one keeps a secret completely, and that someone out there has heard who’s been involved, someone out there knows somebody involved. All it takes is for one person to come forward and offer that name that gets us to our starting point,” Settingsgaard says.
Settingsgaard says Rosetto is part of a crew. He says the arrest can help lead to bringing other suspects into custody. There have been six home invasions in the city and one in Peoria County in recent months. Settingsgaard says police believe all the cases are related, but might not have the same suspects. He says residents should still lock their doors and take other basic security measures at home.
