New images gathered by the City of Pekin using satellite imagery shows the full scale of destruction as viewed from space. The city's GIS data from before and after the storm, was referenced and compiled using ESRI software to reveal the path of destruction that Sunday's EF-4 in Washington took. The EF-2 tornado damage in Pekin, and East Peoria is also displayed in the website. The large footprint of the damage is immediately evident, as is the debris field just outside of the areas in the nearby farm fields.

Another image, compiled by Tom Sander and shared on the Washington, Illinois Tornado Recovery Facebook Page shows where items carried by the 140-190 mph winds during the Washington tornado were finally deposited Sunday afternoon on November 17, 2013. In total, 25 tornadoes formed that day according to National Weather Service meteorologists.
Several recovered items from Northern Illinois have been brought back to the Morton Public Library, where volunteers and workers are collecting and sorting everything from wedding photos, to bibles. Learn more about their efforts here.
The National Weather Service office in Lincoln has also shared their initial storm findings in a graphic, along with a metrological analysis of Sunday's tornado tracks their website. A total of 25 storms were recorded statewide for Sunday afternoon, with 10 of those located in central Illinois. More details are available on their website.
