Tri-County separation agreement remains murky

It’s been a week since the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission approved a separation agreement with its longtime executive director, Terry Kohlbuss. But the agreement is still not official. Details on any agreement won’t be made public until both parties sign-off.

But the commission approved creating a committee to update its personnel handbook. Officials say the goal is to establish clearer guidelines for the executive director.  Commission chair Larry Whitaker says the handbook is deficient in some areas, but would not go into details. The Commission is also looking to establish a formal reimbursement policy for employee travel.
