Residents can move into Peoria County’s new nursing home facility late this month. Heddington Oaks is set to start accepting residents September 25th, months after construction was complete on the facility. Peoria County and the state differed on where residents should go if the nursing home needs to evacuate during an emergency. County officials say the state approved the County’s emergency evacuation plan. The County plans to install more lightning outside the building to comply.
