Peoria’s first Resident Officer recently moved into a city owned house in the West Bluff.
City leaders gathered at the Armstrong Street residence yesterday to cut a ribbon officially designating the Resident Officer program. It’s funded to have three officers living and working in high-crime areas in the city. The goal is for an officer's work with a specific neighborhood to improve the overall quality of life.
