The former Congressman of the 17th District wants his job back. Republican Bobby Schilling announced Monday he is seeking a rematch against Democratic Congresswoman Cheri Bustos.
Schilling was a one term congressman before his loss to Bustos in November. That’s after Illinois lawmakers re-drew the 17th District to include parts of Peoria, Rockford, Galesburg, and Moline.
Schilling says his campaign will focus on fighting for middle class families and their values. He says the middle class is getting crushed by rising prices and stagnant wages. Schilling is touring the 17th District this week as part of a campaign kickoff tour.
