Those traveling Northmoor Road in Peoria will find a barricade interruption between University and Sheridan. That’s sent many drivers into the neighborhoods aiming to get from one side to the other. Peoria’s City Engineer says that’s causing traffic backups because there is no connection from Sheridan to University through the neighborhoods immediately north and south of Northmoor.
Drivers looking to span the University to Sheridan stretch of Northmoor are best served to go to Glen to the South and Pioneer Parkway to the North.
Those who live along the closed part of Northmoor have local access.
The Northmoor construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
