The Northmoor Road Project poses a new wrinkle for Peoria motorists starting today. Northmoor isclosed at Rosemead Drive and the Exposition Gardens entrance. Peoria Public Works Director Scott Reeise says they’re closing the road to construct other underground utilities for a new signalized intersection. He says that work includes digging 14 feet underground.
Reeise says people should plan extra travel time for the Northmoor closure. He says the posted detour routes will take motorist through via Willow Knolls Road or Glen Avenue. Nearby residents and emergency response vehicles will have special access. Reeise says every time workers have to stop for special access, it will slow down completion on the project.
