Dozer Park, formerly known as the Peoria Chiefs Stadium, has a new logo. The Caterpillar track-type tractor is paired with home plate and a baseball. The colors are Caterpillar yellow, and red and white all outlined in black. Caterpillar officials say the new logo design was created with fun in mind, to reflect the ballpark’s new name. The new name and logo come as part of the ballpark’s debt restructuring package that includes Caterpillar’s two million dollar investment over ten years.
New signs, including the new Dozer Park name and logo, are expected to be in place soon. The ballpark also has a grand re-opening this summer.
