WTVP's "State and Water" Program Hosts Double CD Release Event

This week, we're talking with Jerry Kolb from public television station WTVP. The station is holding a CD release party with the bands The Deep Hollow and UpState. Both groups have been featured on WTVP's program "State and Water," and both are now out with their second albums.

Kolb talks about "State and Water," which he describes an  attempt to create a new kind of live music experience in downtown Peoria. He says the program strives to find bands and musicians that deserve wider exposure, or are on the cusp of making a major breakthrough. He notes that the CD release event includes copies of both new albums --it's like purchasing the CDs, with a live performance added in.

The release party and performance will be held Thursday, Feruary 27th, at 6:00 p.m. in the WTVP studios at the corner of State Street and Water Street in downtown Peoria.
