Bradley Community Chorus and Symphony Orchestra Present a Concert of Sacred Music this Weekend

This week, our guest is Dr. Cory Ganschow, Director of Choral Activities at Bradley University. The Bradley Community Chorus and Bradley Symphony Orchestra will present a program that includes Mozart's Solemn Vespers and Lux Aeterna by American composer Morten Lauridsen.

Ganschow says that the Community Chorus traditionally performs choral masterworks in its fall concerts, and that this concert represented an opportunity to a piece from the Classical era with a contrasting work from the 20th century. She also talks about the unique features of the two compositions, and about how St. Mary's Cathedral is a fitting venue in which to perform them.

This concert, "Prayers of Light," will be performed Sunday afternoon at 4:00 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria
