Two people have died in an apparent murder-suicide Sunday afternoon in Peoria.

Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Flora at 2:16 p.m. for a welfare check. When they arrived, they saw an adult woman laying down in the bedroom. Police officers and members of the Peoria Fire Department then entered the residence.

They found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound and a man lying near the woman, also with an apparent gunshot wound.

The woman was identified by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood as 49-year-old Glory Eriksen. An autopsy showed that she died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Harwood said in a statement that evidence suggests her wound was self-inflicted.

Harwood said the man, identified as 47-year-old Vivek Gupta, died from two gunshots wounds to the head and died instantly.

The incident remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department. Anyone with any information can contact the Peoria Police Department at (309) 673-4521, tip411 (anonymously), or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at (309) 673-9000.
