A 16-year-old Washington girl was the teenager killed in an early Monday morning crash in East Peoria.

Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says Avery Grazier was a passenger in the pickup truck that crashed in the 3200 block of Springfield Road just after 2 a.m. A preliminary autopsy shows she died from multiple blunt force injuries.

East Peoria police arrested the 16-year-old driver for aggravated DUI and reckless driving. The crash remains under investigation.

Washington Community High School will have crisis counselors available for students from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
