Out and About in Greater Peoria: Good Neighbor Days, Canton art festival and Peoria Bach Festival

Celebrate: Good Neighbor Days 2024 is happening this weekend in Washington. Enjoy live entertainment, carnival rides and family-friendly activities. Food and drinks from local vendors will be available on site. The carnival opens at 4 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. There will be a firework show Friday at 9:30 p.m.

Explore: Head to Canton on Saturday and Sunday for the annual Art on Main Fine Arts Festival. Hosted in Jones Park in downtown Canton, the festival features original artwork from artists across the Midwest. The festival will also have live music from local artists, food and drinks. The bands begin playing at 9 a.m. They end at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Listen: The Peoria Bach Festival starts Sunday and goes throughout the week. The event features concerts and lectures on the work of Johann Sebastian Bach and other Baroque music. The event kicks off Sunday at 4 p.m. with a performance of Bach’s music from Westminster Presbyterian Church organist Polly Brecht. All events will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
