2 men injured in Monday night shooting in Peoria

Two people were injured after a shooting Monday night in the 1200 block of North Douglas in Peoria.

According to Peoria Police, officers got a Shot Spotter alert of eight rounds fired shortly after 10 p.m. They found an adult man with a gunshot wound. He was sent to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

During an investigation, police learned a second adult man also was shot and taken to a hospital before police arrived. He also had non life-threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
