Play: It’s raining… kittens? This Sunday at the Peoria Playhouse, it’s a kitten shower. Head to the art room to meet some adorable kittens from Stray Animals Midwest Shelter (SAMS). While you play with the kittens, learn more about the importance of spaying/neutering and hear about foster opportunities. The event goes from 12 to 4 p.m.
Create: Also Sunday at Art at the Bodega, make your very own Highland cow clay planter. This class will walk you through each step of the process so you leave with a planter that perfectly captures the Highland cow’s signature shaggy coat and long horns. The $40 ticket includes instruction, materials and tools. The class starts at 1 p.m.
