Bradley University will end its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for students, faculty, and staff on May 11.
The date coincides with the end of the federal public health emergency. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is planning to drop the state's emergency orders the same day, more than three years after the pandemic began.
Bradley University said while individuals still have the freedom to wear face masks, nobody can impose a mask requirement on campus.
The Bradley Unite web page that served as the university's hub for COVID-19 data and other information during the height of the pandemic also will be shut down.
