One man is dead and another seriously injured after a shooting early Thursday morning in South Peoria.
The Peoria Police Department responded to the 2200 block of West Wiswall around 2:15 a.m. on a ShotSpotter report of 11 rounds being fired.
Police officers found two men with gunshot wounds inside a house. Both were taken to an area hospital. One man was shot multiple times and pronounced dead a short time later.
The second man suffered a serious but non-life threatening injury, police said.
There is no suspect information at this time.
This is the 13th recorded homicide in Peoria in 2019.
