Law Enforcement Exhibit to Open at Children's Museum of Illinois

DECATUR  - The Children's Museum of Illinois will open a pro-law-enforcement themed exhibition next month. The two-story, 7,000-square-foot exhibit is called "Heroes Hall." The $3 million exhibit was funded by billionaire Warren Buffett's son Howard Buffett.

Amber Kaylor is the museum's executive director. She says the exhibit is meant to give children a positive introduction to law enforcement. The museum also plans to expand partnerships with the Macon County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies. Kaylor says the partnerships will build relationships between children, parents and police officers.

The Howard G. Buffett Foundation has made a number of large donations in recent years in the Decatur area. Howard Buffett was sworn in as Macon County Sheriff last September.
