A Democratic candidate for Illinois governor is making criticisms of his own party a hallmark of his campaign.
In a policy speech today - Chris Kennedy never named names.
But when he criticized Republicans for relying on a couple of rich people to fund their party...he also was referring to Democrats who support his primary opponent, billionaire JB Pritzker.
"They now believe that to compete, Democrats must adopt the same behavior as those who have tried to oppress us, Kennedy said. "We are mimicking behavior that we should abhor."
It should be noted that Kennedy has given his own campaign $500,000.
Kennedy’s criticism of his party comes as Democratic party organizations around the state has largely endorsed JB Pritzker.
Other Democratic candidates: State Senator Daniel Biss, Bob Daiber, and Tio Hardiman.
