Presidential nominee Donald Trump is singling out Republicans who oppose him, including Illinois U.S. Senator Mark Kirk. Kirk has run TV ads for his re-election bid criticizing Trump. Last night, Trump told supporters in New Hampshire that Kirk is against him for political reasons, and said “Maybe he’s a Democrat.”
In a statement, Kirk’s campaign manager says polls show Kirk is doing better in Illinois than Trump is. He also says Kirk’s race against Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth is a tie, although other recent polls have shown Duckworth has a lead.
