Illinois State Police say a 17-year-old girl has been arrested in the weekend stabbing of a 16-year-old girl at the Illinois State Fair.  The stabbing occurred Saturday night in the carnival area of the fair in Springfield.

The 16-year-old girl was expected to be released from the hospital Sunday. It describes the incident as "isolated."

The Sangamon County Sheriff's Office, the Springfield Police Department and the Conservation police are helping in the investigation.
