GOP Party Faithful Disenchanted By Kirk's Refusal to Back Trump

US Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk’s refusal to back Donald Trump seems to be losing him some votes among Republicans.

Kirk says voters have a terrible choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

So he’s writing in former CIA Director David Petraeus - fully acknowledging Petraeus won’t win.

"You know, a write-in vote really doesn’t do a lot. I’m just saying this practically," Kirk said.

But that message doesn’t resonate with Republican Party faithful - like Denis Fisher.

He quietly held up a Trump sign while Kirk gave his speech Wed. at the Illinois State Fair.

"I’m not gonna vote for U.S. Senate. If Senator Kirk doesn’t want to support our Republican nominee, I’m not gonna give him my vote," Fisher said.

Fisher says - unlike Kirk - he won’t write-in a name for senator when he votes.

He’ll just skip it.
