New York architects to design Obama library in Chicago

Barack Obama's presidential library on Chicago's South side will be designed by a New York architectural firm that designed the David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago.  The Barack Obama Foundation announced that Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects has been chosen for the library that will be built near the university where Obama once taught constitutional law.

Designs by the firm include the Barnes Foundation art museum in Philadelphia and the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla, California.

The foundation says the library will be built at one of two parks near the university: Washington Park or Jackson Park.  But the specific location of the library hasn't been announced.  Foundation officials say they expect to announce a decision by the end of this year.
