Chicago Police Chief Asks for Investigation of Arrest Video

CHICAGO - Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson is asking for an investigation after a video surfaced that appears to show an officer kicking a man in the head.

Terrance Hobson says he shot the video that was posted Monday afternoon on Facebook showing an arrest on the city's West Side.

The video shows an officer lying on top of a suspect on the ground, trying to detain him. A second officer who is standing appears to kick the suspect.

Police said after viewing the video, the police superintendent asked the Independent Police Review Authority to investigate while the department gathers more information.

It's still unclear what led to the suspect's arrest.
