Northwestern professor accused of sexual harassment resigns

Northwestern University says a philosophy professor resigned after the school found he sexually harassed two students.

Professor Peter Ludlow resigned Monday.  The resignation came after the school initiated proceedings to fire him, during a hearing before a faculty committee considering the case.

Ludlow hasn't taught any classes at the school since March 2014.

Northwestern's Vice President for University Relations Alan Cubbage calls Ludlow's actions "an affront to the standards and expectations" that Northwestern has for its faculty.
