Illinois insurance prices up for some under health care law

Many Illinois consumers are seeing higher prices for health insurance entering the third year of President Barack Obama's health care law.

Today is the first day people can see 2016 prices on HealthCare.gov, where thousands of Illinoisans buy coverage.

Some insurers under priced their plans the last two years and now are raising prices.  And prices depend on where people live.

It pays to look at more than premium prices. In general, the lower the monthly premium, the more a consumer would pay out of pocket each time they get care.
