Ex-Rep. Aaron Schock's legal bills piling up

Former Congressman Aaron Schock's legal bills continue to mount. A quarterly filing with the Federal Election Commission indicates Shock spent $900,000 on lawyers at multiple law firms from July to the end of September.

His campaign fund also has outstanding bills of $747,000.

A grand jury in Springfield is investigating Schock's dealings and he resigned early this year under a cloud of ethics questions.

Comparing debt to the current balance in the fund indicates Schock has about 400,000 unobligated dollars left. His campaign account has already shelled out nearly $2.7 million in legal fees since the scandal began.
