Army: Parachutist death at Chicago air show was accidental

Officials have concluded that the death of a member of the Army's elite parachute team during the Chicago Air & Water Show was accidental.

The Fort Bragg-based Golden Knights halted performances for nearly seven weeks after Master Sgt. Corey Hood collided midair with a Navy skydiver during a stunt.  Hood was knocked unconscious and slammed into a building and the ground.

An Army spokesperson says the full report gives safety recommendations  and performances are resuming.

Unit members are returning to the air at the Military World Games in South Korea this weekend.
