College of DuPage considers severance deal

Trustees of a suburban Chicago college are set to vote on whether to void the contract of the school's embattled president amid scrutiny of his hefty severance package.  College of DuPage trustees today are also considering whether to nix plans to name a security-education center after Robert Breuder. Breuder's severance deal was worth $763,000 and ended his tenure in March, three years early. Law enforcement is investigating that deal and other issues. The 70-year-old was put on paid administrative leave in April while the investigations played out. The proposal on the center would name it after Army Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller instead. The Wheaton-native died in Afghanistan saving team members under attack. Breuder declined to comment on the initiatives.
